Lakota is our first registered Alaskan malamute. Reva Reinelt of Snow Drift Kennels entrusted us with him in 2006 and our adventure continues. With Lakota we learned about dog shows, sledding, weight pulling and how to put 100’s of miles on our bikes during the summer to keep him in shape. He comes from a long line of Hard working Alaskan Malamutes that have had outstanding show careers. So, it is essential we put in a good amount of miles in each month so he is at his best. Lakota loves to be involved in everything we do especially when it concerns eating. We waited 2 years for this stunning girl we call Little Star. She has an exceptional pedigree and was handpicked by Rebound Alaskan Malamute Breeder Nancy Russell. Our good fortune really came to life the first time we hooked her up in harness. As a 7 month old puppy she knew more about dog sledding than anyone else attached to or standing on the sled. She walked up to the front, assumed lead position and has not looked back ever since. While it is true she is smaller in stature and weight to Lakota, regardless of how fast he trots, she always has to be several steps ahead of him. We get places a lot faster these days.

Both dogs love cuddling with the cats and watching TV after a hard day of running around the neighborhood pulling a sled in winter or a Bike in summer.

Since then we’ve had many litters and added more Malamutes to our pack as can be seen on our website.
